The Certificate of Proficiency in Early Childhood Special Education is intended for early childhood practitioners seeking additional skills and knowledge to enhance the development of children with special needs. 

To pursue the Certificate of Proficiency in Early Childhood Special Education, take the following courses: Semester 1: ECE 151, Child Growth and Development, and ECE 220, Internship in Special Education I.  Semester 2: ECE 156, Introduction to Early Childhood Special Education, and ECE 221, Internship in Special Education II.  If you prefer, you may take the courses over a longer time frame.  All of the courses apply to curricula 764 and 763, if you wish to continue your education.
