listening to rap male rap music, I feel a greater sense of control and a more
powerful. I realize that this feeling
may be completely unrepresentative of my true status but I think that the
nature of the music emulates such a feeling.
The male domination of the rap industry, much like that of the world,
renders a woman to be either intimidated or encouraged to rise above. For me, listening to rap music is in a way
symbolic of the way I try to live my life.
I appreciate and understand the music, as I do many aspects of the world
that are traditionally male, but I chose to gain from them and become more than
just a follower unable to participate.
Like many of the rappers I wish to make a mark on this world. While our ways may be different, our ultimate
