The purpose of this program is to teach the student how to use the basics of Microsoft Word. In doing so, the student should learn basic features of Microsoft Word such as overtype, spell check, grammar check, and how to save a file to disk. These features plus several other tasks will be taught to students after completing the projects listed below.

Construct a paragraph of at least 4 sentences. Write something related to Rwanda and use Rwanda as the title for your table.
While writing your paragraph, you should do the following:
1) Use the horizontal ruler to change the margins to .75inches on the left and 5.25inches on the right.
2) Use the auto text in your paragraph. Every time you type Rwanda , use the letters rw and hit the return key.
3) Recognize your typing faults and patterns about certain words and add them to your auto correct.
4) Select a group of words that you have entered in your auto correct and type one or two sentences to fully understand how auto correct works.

1) Make the necessary spelling changes.
2) Make the necessary grammar changes.
3) Add NUR to the AutoCorrect feature so that when you type NUR, it is automatically replaced with “National University of Rwanda” when you follow step #4.

5) Display the spaces and hard returns within the document.
6) Delete the last sentence of the first paragraph.
7) Type the following word: “Ruhengeri” at the end of the first paragraph and add it to your custom dictionary.
8) Each person in the group should make up a sentence about the University and the sentences should be combined to make a new paragraph.

At
the bottom of the document, create an AutoText entry with each group member’s
name, so that when you begin to type one person’s name…all of the names are
suggested.

Steps:
1) Use the thesaurus to change certain words in the text. The words you choose are totally up to you but you must change at least three words to their synonym.
2) Use autocorrect in your typing to watch it work. Add words that you have trouble spelling. What you put in autocorrect is entirely up to you.
3) Use the spelling check to see if any errors are in the text. Change them into their correct form.
4) Also use grammar check to see if grammar needs to be revised.
5) Change the typography of the entire document to 12 point Arial.
6) Change the spacing of the entire document from single spacing to double spacing.
7) Change alignment of the entire document, not the title, to justify.
8) Select the last two sentences in your text and delete them.
9) Place your insertion point before the first sentence and enter a hard return.
10) Toggle the switch to make sure insertion point in centered.

10) Bold “National Museum of Rwanda” two times within the document.
11) Type “NUR” and add it to AutoCorrect so that it automatically becomes “National University of Rwanda” when you type it.
12) Put in the
title as “NUR” and it should read “National University of Rwanda,” make it
bold, and italicized.
