A number of Scholarship Across the Curriculum activities have taken place this spring. Among them are:

The First Annual SAC Faculty Lecture series has continued, with Abby Bardi discussing her novel, The Book of Fred, with an audience of over thirty people on March 14.  The final two lectures of the inaugural series will be "A Cosmologist Recants," by Christopher Hunt on April 18; and Sherman Silverman will speak on "The Catoctin Valley of Maryland: An Example of a Micro Region" on May 2.  All SAC lectures are in held in Chesapeake Hall Room 109 at 3 p.m., with refreshments preceding the talk at 2:45. Aristotle and a World of Wonder was a success  with talks by Nancy Sherman of Georgetown University on April 12 (discussing Aristotle’s Ethics), as well Alasdair MacIntyre of Notre Dame on May 3 (discussing the Politics). Finally, I am thrilled to announce details for this year’s Lyle Linville Memorial Humanities Lecture. The event will be held Thursday, September 26 from 2-4 p.m. in Rennie Forum. (Save the date!) 
Dr. Evelyn Edson of Piedmont Virginia Community College, a scholar of Medieval cartography, will give us a fascinating talk on that subject.
