While for the past several years I have made a habit of weekly visits to University Town Center (UTC), this is the first semester that I have been able to arrange my schedule so that I teach classes at UTC on Mondays and Wednesdays. So far it has been a wonderful experience. For those of you who have not yet had the chance to teach at UTC, here are several of the highlights of teaching there:

·        the classrooms are new, well lit, and comfortable

·        the support staff is fantastic

·        the work areas are roomy

·        the computer labs are well equipped, with overhead projection units

·        I have never waited for more than 2 minutes to use a photocopy machine

·        the break from beltway traffic is a boon

·        and finally, UTC has plumbing (remember, I’m going on my third year in the temporary trailers at Largo!)

As enrollments at UTC continue to increase, more and more of us will have the opportunity to teach there. Take it from me, it is a great facility. I’m loving my classes at UTC.
