Mark your calendars for The Human Genome Conference, scheduled for Thursday, November 29, and Friday, November 30, 2001, on our campus. The full program with reservation form will be available to everyone in early October. Our keynote speaker is Dr. Alan Guttmacher, M.D., senior clinical advisor to the director of the National Human Genome Research Institute, National Institutes of Health. Dr. Guttmacher’s talk, "The Human Genome Project : Where We Are and Where We Are Going," is set for 3:30 p.m., The Washington Post Lecture Hall, CH 109, Thursday, November 29, 2001. Friday’s talks will be held in Largo Student Center. Dr. Ron King,
NIH, will speak on "The Human Genome Project - Impact on the African
American Community," 9 a.m., to be followed by |
